Ingredients:

  • 1/2 (17.3 ounce) package frozen puff pastry (1 sheet), thawed
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, woody stem removed, washed and dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups DI LUSSO® Deli Meats and Cheese, baby Swiss cheese, finely shredded
  • 2 ounces DI LUSSO® Deli Meats and Cheese, prosciutto, thinly sliced, cut into julienne strips

Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. On a clean, lightly floured surface, unfold puff pastry.
  3. Gently roll into a 16"x10" rectangle.
  4. Transfer pastry onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. Using a paring knife, cut a 1/2" border around the outside edge of the pastry sheet.
  6. Top pastry with the cheese, asparagus spears and prosciutto.
  7. Lightly drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and prosciutto.
  8. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until puff pastry is golden brown and asparagus is tender when pierced with the tip of a knife.
  9. Let tart cool slightly.
  10. Cut tart into small squares for appetizer portions.
  11. Makes about 40 appetizer portions.
