Genoa Puffs in Mustard Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup DI LUSSO® Deli Meats and Cheese, diced Genoa salami
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Di Lusso® Dijon Mustard
  • Seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil

Procedure:

  1. In bowl, combine salami, egg, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, green onion, cheese and hot pepper sauce; mix well. Divide mixture into 24 portions; shape into balls.
  2. Pour breadcrumbs into shallow dish. Coat each salami puff with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F.
  4. Deep-fry a few puffs at a time 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown; drain and keep warm. Repeat with remaining puffs.
  5. For dipping sauce, combine sour cream and mustard. Serve warm puffs with mustard sauce.
